ATLANTA -- Authorities are searching for suspects in an armored car robbery on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. at a BP Gas Station on the 3500 block of Cascade Road. According to Fulton County Police, a Loomis armored truck was ambushed while servicing a cash machine on the premises.
Reportedly, while the guard was exiting the BP he was approached by a man and forced to surrender his "money bag." The guard and the suspect get into a brief scuffle but the man was able to get away.
The suspect got away in a grey Nissan Pathfinder bearing Missouri plates.
Authorities say the guard fired a shot at the vehicle. No word on whether the suspect was struck.
The guard was taken into Fulton County custody and charged with Reckless Conduct.
