ATLANTA -- Gay rights activists protesting the Sochi, Russia Olympics have taken aim at the games' major sponsors, including Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.
Bloomberg reported Monday gay rights protestors have targeted the 10 major Olympics sponsors for continuing their support for the Sochi Games despite Russia's law banning homosexual "propaganda."
Coca-Cola has said it will not drop its sponsorship to "avoid undermining gay athletes who've spent years preparing for the competition," Bloomberg reported.
"A more positive impact can be made through continued involvement, rather than by sitting on the sidelines," Anne Moore, a spokeswoman for Coca-Cola, told Bloomberg.
