ATLANTA -- 11Alive News Today is getting you answers to your money questions.
Most of us know the nation, and Metro Atlanta, is in an economic crisis. Georgia's unemployment rate is above 9% and is higher than the national average. That means many of you are searching for jobs right now.
A job fair is a good place to start, but how do you prepare and how do you make a good first impression with employers?
11Alive News Today brought in the brain trust Wednesday, April 22 to answer your questions.
A career counselor from the Georgia Department of Labor joined us to answer your questions about finding jobs, unemployment insurance, preparing your resume and anything else related to the Labor Department.
And a special guest panelist joined the Brain Trust: Jeffrey Audette from Vanguard Management, Inc. Vanguard is hosting a job fair Thursday, April 23 to fill business-to-business sales positions in the Atlanta area. The job fair is at Embassy Suites at Cobb Galleria from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Audette will tell you what to do to get ready and what employers are looking for.
The "Brain Trust" will answer more questions live on-air every Wednesday.
