Visitation For GA Judge Killed In Plane Crash

Visitation scheduled today for a Georgia judge killed in a plane crash on Friday, May 15th.

Judge Sanford Jones, Fulton County Juvenile Court, was piloting a single-engine plane that crashed in a pasture in east Alabama. Also killed in the crash, a 19-year-old passenger, Alexander "Sasha" Nicholas Medina from Newnan, GA.

Two survivors, Sarah Conklin and Joshua Rumohr, both 18 and from Newnan as well, suffered only minor injuries.

Sanford visitation will be from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Parrott Funeral Home, 8355 Senoia Road, Fairburn, Georgia. Funeral service will be May 19th at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Road, Fayetteville, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Justice Fund (Sanford J. Jones Youth Fund), 395 Pryor Street, SW, 1st floor, Atlanta, Georgia 30312.
