Everyone has seen this sad and dramatic image -- an elementary school completely underwater. That's more than a building -- it is a second home for 442 elementary school children.
They are children that need your help -- children that need a hero.
That's why 11Alive is putting our Hero Central into action once again. We know so many of you want to help these kids and we are going to make that possible.
Starting tonight, you can drop off basic school supplies for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade to any School Box location.
School Box is kind enough to collect all of your donations. They have a location just a few blocks from the school and they want to help. You can drop off your donations to any school box location now through Sunday.
We are working with the school system to have a gathering for those kids and get them your donations next week.
