During the last week before Election Day, those who go to polling places in Fulton County may find that they can do more than vote- they can also get a flu shot.

Fulton County will be setting up flu shot clinics the during the last week of October at several polling places around Fulton County, as part of a nationwide program to help improve the health of all Americans.

Fulton County is one of a growing number of organizations across the country participating in Vote & Vax, a national project to encourage the hosting of flu clinics at polling sites.

"This is a great opportunity for everyone, but particularly adults age 50 and older who are especially vulnerable to illness during flu season, to safely and conveniently receive a flu shot from a medical professional, while also voting," says Wayne Casey, Division Manager of the Fulton County Human Services Department's Office of Aging.

Vote & Vax clinics will take place at the following locations on Thursday, October 29th and Friday October 30th from 10am-1pm:

Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor Street, Atlanta

Adamsville Recreation Center, 3201 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Atlanta

Fulton County South Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park

Fulton County North Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Atlanta
