Georgia turns to Troupe after losing Green

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- A.J. Green's shoulder injury has given Georgia sophomore Israel Troupe his long-awaited opportunity.

Green, the Southeastern Conference's leading receiver, is out for Saturday night's game against Kentucky with a left shoulder injury he suffered in Georgia's win over Auburn last week.

Troupe helped keep the offense moving by making a 50-yard touchdown catch after Green left the game. Troupe is listed as the starter at Green's flanker position this week.

Troupe, a third-year sophomore, says he had grown impatient waiting for this chance. He hopes he has as much success in his first career start as he did when called off the sideline last week.
