ATLANTA -- The best place to raise children in Georgia in 2010 is Warner Robins, according to a new report from BusinessWeek magazine.
Warner Robins, whose little league baseball team won the World Series in 2007, is 120 miles south of Atlanta near Macon, is home to Robins Air Force Base and boats a population of 49,515. Its median income is $62,715.
Georgia's runners up for best places to raise kids were Valdosta (in South Georgia) and Roswell (in metro Atlanta).
BusinessWeek said the data it used for its list included school performance, number of schools, household expenditures, crime rates, air quality, job growth, family income, museums, parks, theaters, other amenities, and diversity.
