ATLANTA -- What started as a routine traffic stop turned into a chase that ended in dramatic fashion along Interstate 675.
It all began when Atlanta police tried to pull over a minivan for a traffic violation and the driver refused to stop.
The chase wound its way through the streets of South Atlanta on Jonesboro Road, McDonough Boulevard and then to Hank Aaron Drive.
The suspect then jumped onto I-20 traveling eastbound and exited onto I-285 South passing Bouldercrest Road, and then onto I-675 South.
Georgia State Patrol joined in the chase and used a pit manuever to stop the vehicle.
Several officers surrounded the vehicle with weapons drawn and quickly took two suspects into custody.
