BUFFALO, N.Y. (GNS) -- New developments in plans for a vacant church on Buffalo's east side to be dismantled and moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

St. Gerard's R.C. Church, located at the intersection of Bailey and Delavan in Buffalo, has been vacant since 2008 and since has been sought after by the Catholic community at Mary Our Queen R.C. Church. The pastor believes the structure of St. Gerard's would be a perfect fit for his growing congregation in the Atlanta suburb of Norcross, and has requested it be moved piece-by-piece down south.

The pastor at Mary Our Queen has launched a new website, which he hopes will add to the $3 million already raised for this effort.
