ATLANTA -- There's lots of talk about the John Edwards sex scandal. It turns out, the much sought after sex tape is right here in Atlanta.
A judge in North Carolina said that Andrew Young had to hand over the sex tape by this Wednesday. That tape is in a bank deposit box somewhere in Atlanta and Andrew Young is here right now but he's refusing to hand over the tape and has appealed.
Young says he objects to having to split the cost of having a security official accompany him to the safety deposit box.
So why are the tapes in Atlanta?
Well, one clue is Atlanta attorney Glenn Sturm, a contributor to the Democratic Party and John Edwards' campaign.
Sturm has the only other key to the box. We went to his Atlantic Station offices today and were told he is traveling and that he would not be calling us back.
But Andrew Young is doing plenty of talking about his book. He was live on the Ricky smiley Show in Atlanta this morning and this is what he had to say about the sex tape mess: "We're going through a big mess over this sex tape thing. We're doing the best we can."
So Young is fighting the judge's order right now. He has until Wednesday to hand the tape over.
What we know right now is that he's here in Atlanta, and that sex tape is still locked up somewhere in the city.
