Spurs, Clippers to play preseason game in Mexico

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers will square off against one another in a preseason game in Mexico City on October 12, 2010, the NBA announced Thursday.

The event will mark the 19th time the league has played a game in Mexico, which first began hosting NBA contests in 1992.

"We are thrilled that with the support of our partners, including HP and game promoter Ocesa, our local fans can experience NBA excitement live," said Raul Zarraga, Mexico's Country Director for the NBA.

The LA Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks will also play a series of preseason games this October in Barcelona, London, Milan, and Paris.
