
ATLANTA (AP) -- Authorities have charged a driver who struck and killed a Georgia Department of Transportation worker with
second-degree vehicular homicide.
Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones says 21-year-old Glenn
Johnson was driving eastbound on Freedom Parkway on Wednesday morning near Interstate 75 when he lost control of the car. Police say he entered the median and struck the 27-year-old worker, who was mowing the grass.
The victim's name has not been released.
