ATLANTA-- We all know the New York Giants took home the Super Bowl championship Sunday night, but they didn't do it alone. They've given credit to an elite group of military men and women right here in Atlanta.
"We know what it takes to execute when the chips are down and the stakes are high," said Afterburner CEO James Murphy.
Afterburner is a consulting firm that employs the elite of the elite. Former pilots, navy seals and high-ranked officers, all with one mission.
"We work with major corporations teaching them a business model that we call 'Flawless Execution'," Murphy said.
It's a model that's helped Fortune 500 companies increase sales and results, but that got a little more hands-on with their newest client.
"Half-way through the season we got a call from the Giants," said Murphy. "They were struggling with certain areas."
And with that call- the team headed to New York for a mission like no other.
From group seminars to one on one sessions with the players like Eli Manning- they taught the principles they learned in the military.
Analyzing areas of improvement, and removing the "each man for himself" mentality.
"Everybody is free to look at their individual errors, identify them for the greater good of the team," Murphy added.
They then applied that "flawless execution" to the field, and flawless it was.
The Giants came home a new team with a revamped strategy, and of course that coveted trophy.
