ATLANTA -- Joe Johnson may soon be traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
According to sources, the Hawks would receive Anthony Morrow, Jordan Farmar, Jordan Willimas, Johan Petro, DeShawn Stevenson and the Rockets' 2013 lottery first round pick.
This move could potentially free up about $90 million over the next four years for the Atlanta Hawks.
Brooklyn would also keep MarShon Brooks and free agent Gerald Green, while convincing Atlanta to take a first-round pick, in this deal, sources said.
One of the players involved is a "sign and trade" situation. That means no player can sign until next Wednesday so nothing is official until then.
