ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs completed a four-player trade on Monday night.
In exchange for right-handed pitchers Arodys Vizcaino and Jaye Chapman, the Atlanta Braves have acquired left-handed pitcher Paul Maholm and outfielder Reed Johnson.
According to a release from the Braves, "Maholm, 30, is 9-6 this season with a 3.74 earned run average (ERA) in 21 appearances." And "Johnson, 35, is batting .307 this season with 15 extra-base hits and 16 runs batted in over (RBI) 75 games played."
