Former Olympians Tommie Smith, who captured gold in the 200m in the 1968 Games, and Kevin Young, who took gold in 1992 and still holds a world record in hurdling, will help celebrate the latest generation of Olympians.
Southwest DeKalb and Cedar Grove's marching bands and principals will also take part in the free festivities.
They kick off at 6 p.m. Thursday on Decatur Square.
Free parking will be available at the courthouse parking deck near the Decatur MARTA station.
The event was originally set to take place at Maloof Auditorium but was moved to allow for more attendees.
