Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Luis Cruz had a two-run homer and Alfredo
Amezaga went 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored as the Los Angeles
Dodgers edged the LA Angels of Anaheim, 10-8, on Thursday.
Clayton Kershaw picked up the victory after striking out seven batters in
three innings of work, although he allowed three runs -- two earned -- on six
hits.
Howie Kendrick had three hits, two RBI and scored three runs for the Angels.
Starter Jerome Williams was charged with the loss, allowing five runs, four of
which were earned, and five hits over two innings.
Dodgers pitcher Ted Lilly appeared in his first game since undergoing shoulder
surgery last year. The veteran lefty lasted two innings and gave up one run
while striking out one batter.
