Clearwater, FL (Sports Network) - Ramon Santiago hit a third-inning grand slam
and Don Kelly added a two-run shot off Phillies starter Roy Halladay, and
Detroit cruised past Philadelphia, 10-6, in Grapefruit League play.
Brayan Pena added two RBI, Alex Avila totaled two doubles amongst his three
hits, scored twice and drove in a run for the Tigers.
Drew Smyly allowed five hits and three runs -- two earned -- over 3 1/3
innings for the win.
His counterpart Halladay was ripped apart in defeat to the tune of six hits
and seven runs, all earned, with four walks over 69 pitches in just 2 2/3
frames.
Chase Utley hit a two-run shot and drove in three for the Phils, who received
an RBI each from Kevin Frandsen and Cesar Hernandez.
