KENNESAW, Ga. - If you've ever wanted to play college football (and are enrolled at KSU) - here's your chance!
Due to the recent snow that came through the Atlanta area that resulted in the subsequent campus closure and hazardous driving conditions, the Kennesaw State football program has extended the deadline for accepting completed paperwork for current KSU students interested in trying out for the team. All paperwork now must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Interested students must be enrolled in 12 hours of coursework for the spring semester and are required to fill out the appropriate paperwork and deliver it in person to the football coaches' offices at 3380 Town Point Drive, Suite 340.
Head coach Brian Bohannon and his staff will hold the first-ever tryout at the Perch located in the KSU Sports and Recreation Park on March 22. The Owls begin play in 2015.
No paperwork will be accepted after February 4 and walk-ups will not be allowed the day of tryout.
All player information will be reviewed and tryout participation is dependent upon individuals meeting NCAA and Kennesaw State University eligibility requirements.
The required documents to be completed are a football questionnaire, new student-athlete form, athletic physical form and proof of sickle cell status/signed waiver. All the forms can be found at http://www.ksuowls.com/documents/2014/1/7/Tryout_Forms__Combined_.pdf.
