Bloomington, IN (Sports Network) - Will Sheehey's 19 points paced five Indiana
players in double-figure scoring as the top-ranked Hoosiers overwhelmed Ball
State in a 101-53 domination at Assembly Hall. Sheehey made good on 8-of-9
field goal attempts and Jordan Hulls netted 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting for
Indiana, which finished with a 60.3 percentage from the field in moving to 6-0
on the young season. Cody Zeller contributed 15 points in just 20 minutes of
action to the rout, with Victor Oladipo adding 13 points and Christian Watford
11 to go-along with a game-high 10 rebounds. Ball State (2-2), on the other
hand, shot an anemic 30.9 percent in suffering its second straight lopsided
defeat to an in-state opponent. The Cardinals dropped a 68-48 decision to
Indiana State on Tuesday. Majok Majok led Ball State with 18 points.

Syracuse, NY (Sports Network) - Syracuse faced its most familiar opponent on
Sunday and came away with its customary lopsided win. James Southerland poured
in 18 points to lead the sixth-ranked Orange in an 87-51 rout of Colgate at
the Carrier Dome. Brandon Triche added 15 points and Michael Carter-Williams
dished out a career-high 13 assists for Syracuse (4-0), which faced Colgate
for the 165th time and posted its 47th straight win over its nearby Central
New York rival. The Orange also extended their home winning streak to 25
straight games, the longest in the history of the Carrier Dome, which opened
in 1980. Syracuse hasn't lost at home since a 64-56 setback to Georgetown on
Feb. 9, 2011. Murphy Burnatowski, John Brandenburg and Pat Moore each scored
eight points to lead Colgate (3-4), which had a two-game win streak stopped.
The Raiders haven't beaten Syracuse since 1962 and haven't lost by single-
digits since a 73-65 decision in November 2000.

East Lansing, MI (Sports Network) - Keith Appling scored 19 points, Branden
Dawson had 12 and the 15th-ranked Michigan State Spartans held on to beat the
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 63-60, at the Breslin Center. Appling also compiled
six rebounds and five assists, while Dawson's inability to seal the win with
free throws gave Louisiana an opportunity to tie the game. Down 10 with 3:09
remaining, the Ragin' Cajuns closed to within 62-60 inside the final minute.
Elfrid Payton missed a layup after recording his seventh steal of the game.
Michigan State's Denzel Valentine managed to get back on the play and block
the shot. However, Kevin Brown was on the spot to convert the putback. The
Spartans came up empty on their next possession and Shawn Long failed to
connect on a drive to the hoop. Dawson grabbed the rebound and went to the
line with six seconds to play. He made the first attempt but missed the
second. Michigan State (5-1), though, prevailed when Payton's deep 3-point try
was off the mark.

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Elias Harris scored a game-high 24 points to go
along with 10 rebounds, as No. 17 Gonzaga downed Davidson, 81-67, in the
championship game of the 2012 Old Spice Classic. Kevin Pangos added 23 points
while connecting on 5-of-9 three-point attempts for the Bulldogs (6-0), who
also captured the title of this event in 2008. Kelly Olynyk contributed 14
points in the victory. Nik Cochran paced Davidson (3-3) with 17 points, while
Jake Cohen netted 13 and De'Mon Brooks poured in 12 as the Wildcats had their
two-game win streak snapped.

Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Markel Brown scored 23 points and Le'Bryan
Nash added 20 as 20th-ranked Oklahoma State put on an impressive overall
display in an 81-58 rout of Portland State at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The
Cowboys, ranked in the top 25 for the first time since 2007 following their
recent championship at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, shot 57.1 percent from the
field en route their first 5-0 start since the 2009-10 season. Brown hit
on 10-of-14 attempts, while Phil Forte went 5-of-7 in a 15-point effort.
Oklahoma State also shined on the defensive end, limiting the Vikings to just
39.6 percent shooting for the game. Renado Parker and Michael Harthun each
finished with 12 points for Portland State (1-3), which dropped its third
straight following a season-opening win.

Storrs, CT (Sports Network) - Shabazz Napier sparked a 3-point second-half
barrage that propelled the 21st-ranked Connecticut Huskies to a 73-62 victory
over the Stony Brook Seawolves. Napier, the reigning Big East player of the
week, scored 19 points for Connecticut (5-1), which was coming off Monday's
loss to New Mexico in the championship game of the Paradise Jam in the Virgin
Islands. Niels Giffey had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Huskies, whose
last eight made field goals were from behind the arc. Dave Coley paced Stony
Brook (4-2) with 15 points, while Tommy Brenton added 14.

Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Josh Scott scored 20 points and pulled down
seven rebounds, lifting the 23rd-ranked Colorado Buffaloes over the Air Force
Falcons, 89-74, on Sunday. Andre Roberson added 18 points and 13 rebounds for
the Buffaloes (5-0), who shot 56.6 percent from the field and went 7-of-13
from beyond the arc. Askia Booker and Spencer Dinwiddie each tallied 15 points
and seven rebounds. Michael Lyons had 20 points to pace the Falcons (5-1), who
were trying for their first 6-0 start since the 1982-83 season. Todd Fletcher
donated 18 points.
