Fayetteville, AR (Sports Network) - James Southerland tied a Syracuse record
with nine 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 35 points as the sixth-ranked
Orange posted a 91-82 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the SEC/Big East
Challenge.
Michael Carter-Williams finished an assist shy of a triple double, compiling
17 points and 10 rebounds, for the Orange (5-0). Brandon Triche also scored
17 and C.J. Fair added 14 in Syracuse's first true road game of the young
season.
BJ Young paced Arkansas with 25 points, while Marshawn Powell totaled 19
points and seven boards.
The Razorbacks (3-3) were dealt their third straight loss.
