Olean, NY (Sports Network) - Demitrius Conger recorded a double-double
with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the St. Bonaventure Bonnies to an
87-53 domination over the Cleveland State Vikings at the Reilly Center.
Conger was 6-of-10 from the field and hit both of his three-point attempts
while also dishing out a game-high four assists for the Bonnies (6-3), who
have now won three of their last four. Three other SBU players scored in
double-figures including Charlon Kloof (14 points), Youddou Ndoye (13 points,
seven rebounds), and Eric Mosley (10 points). Ndoye was very impressive on the
defensive end recording three steals and two blocks.
Bryn Forbes led Cleveland State (6-4) in scoring with 12 points as the Vikings
lost their second in a row. Marlin Mason scored nine points and pulled down 11
rebounds while Aaron Scales scored 10 points with five rebounds and two blocks.
The Bonnies shot 61.5 percent from the field while holding Cleveland State to
just 30.4 percent as they took a 48-26 lead into halftime.
In the second half the Vikings continued to struggle from the floor, and made
only 9-of-25 shots. The Bonnies held a 23-13 advantage in the rebounding battle
after halftime.
While both teams turned the ball over 20 times each, the Bonnies took
advantage of their opportunities turning the Vikings turnovers into 26 points
compared to only 13 points off of turnovers for Cleveland State.
