Vermillion, SD (Sports Network) - Jesse Berry scored 22 points to lead the
Ball State Cardinals to an 80-73 win over the South Dakota Coyotes in a non-
conference tilt at the DakotaDome.
Ball State (5-4) also got 20 points off the bench from Marcus Posley who
knocked down 3-of-4 attempts from behind the arc. Majok Majok recorded his
sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Juevol Myles made 15-of-16 shots from the foul line and scored 24 points to
lead the Coyotes (4-7). Brandon Bos scored 17 points while Karim Rowson added
13.
Ball State led 29-24 at intermission but neither team shot well from the
floor. South Dakota had a two-point lead late in the half but a Posley triple
and four straight points from Majok gave the Cardinals the halftime advantage.
The scoring picked up in the second period. The Cardinals shot 53.6 percent
from the field and never trailed. South Dakota did tie the score with 4:59
remaining but a 3-pointer by Jauwan Scaife gave Ball State the lead for good.
Ball State won its second consecutive game over South Dakota as the two teams
met last week in Indiana. The Cardinals have won four in a row overall.
