Tampa, Florida (Sports Network) - Victor Rudd recorded an impressive double-
double with 16 points and 16 rebounds as he led the South Florida Bulls to a
72-54 victory over the Youngstown State Penguins at the Sun Dome.
The Bulls (6-3) had two other players in double-figures including Anthony
Collins who scored 14 points while dishing out a game-high seven assists.
Toarlyn Fitzpatrick added 11 points and six rebounds for South Florida,
which has now won four of its last five games.
Kendrick Perry scored 15 points while knocking down four 3-pointers for the
Penguins (6-5) who had a three-game winning streak come to a close. Bobby
Hain recorded 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench while Damian Eargle
put on a strong defensive performance with three blocks and two steals.
The score was tied at 33-33 going into halftime after the Penguins made seven
3-pointers to help keep them afloat.
The second half was all South Florida as the Bulls outscored Youngstown State
39-21 and held the Penguins to just 27.6 percent shooting from the field.
The Bulls shot 44.1 percent from the field throughout the game while the
Penguins hit on 32.8 percent. The Bulls had a 45-35 edge on the boards as
well.
