Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Askia Booker scored a game-high 17 points as
the Colorado Buffaloes cruised by the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, 98-51, at
the Coors Events Center.
Booker hit on 8-of-9 field goal attempts for the Buffaloes (9-2). Xavier
Johnson also added 17 points off the bench while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in
15 points and six rebounds. Josh Scott and Andre Roberson contributed 11 and
10 points, respectively.
The Lumberjacks (4-6) were paced by DeWayne Russell who scored a team-high 15
points. Max Jacobsen scored 10 points and pulled down six boards in the
loss.
Colorado went on several runs during the first 20 minutes of play. It went on
a 19-2 run early on and followed that up with a 14-0 run en route to a 57-21
advantage at the break.
The Buffaloes shot an impressive 15-of-25 (.600) from the floor while limiting
the Lumberjacks to a mere 10-of-29 (.345) effort in the second half.
Colorado dominated the glass, with a 45-22 edge in rebounds and also outscored
the Lumberjacks 48-16 on points in the paint.
