Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) - Marc Trasolini scored a game-high 23 points
as the Santa Clara Broncos made easy work of the Wagner Seahawks, 69-45, in
the championship game of the Cable Car Classic at the Leavey Center.
Trasolini shot 8-of-13 from the floor and scored more than 20 points for the
third straight game. Evan Roquemore added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Santa
Clara (11-2), while Brandon Clark came off the bench to tally 13 points.
For Wagner (5-5), Marcus Burton was the only player to score in double figures
with 10 points.
Santa Clara went into intermission with a 33-19 lead behind a 41.9 percent
field goal shooting. Wagner struggled mightily in the opening 20 minutes,
going just 7-of-29 (.241).
The Broncos kept their double-digit advantage throughout the second half.
The Seahawks made fewer field goals on the night (15) than turnovers committed
(17).
