Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Butler Bulldogs guard Rotnei Clarke was carted
off on a stretcher during the first half of Saturday's contest against Dayton.
The Bulldogs' season-leading score was injured on a fastbreak play, where he
took a hard foul from Dayton's Matt Derenbecker and collided head first into
the padded area of the backboard stand. He remained on the ground for several
minutes before he was helped onto a stretcher.
He was taken to a hospital for X-rays to determine the extent of the injury.
He gave a thumbs up to the crowd before leaving the arena.
