Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Fuquan Edwin recorded a double-double with 16
points and 10 rebounds as the Seton Hall Pirates defeated the South Florida
Bulls, 55-47, in Big East action at the Prudential Center.
Brandon Mobley chipped in 14 points and five boards as Seton Hall (13-6, 1-4
Big East) snapped a four-game losing streak.
For the Bulls (10-8, 1-5), Jawanza Poland scored a team-high 13 points.
Toarlyn Fitzpatrick recorded 10 points and six rebounds as USF lost five of
its last six games. Anthony Collins contributed a game-high 10 assists.
South Florida could only make 32 percent of its field goals, while Seton Hall
shot 60 percent from long-range and the floor in the first half, en route to a
29-22 advantage at the break.
Seton Hall was 9-of-20 from the floor while holding the Bulls to a mere 1-of-9
from long-range in the second.
The Pirates controlled the boards, 35-22, and held the Bulls to a mere 3-of-19
from beyond the arc on the night in order to overcome 17 turnovers.
