Hanover, NH (Sports Network) - Gabas Maldunas put in 16 points to lead the
Dartmouth Big Green to a 71-62 victory over the Yale Bulldogs in Ivy League
action at Leede Arena.
Alex Mitola added 12 points, John Golden chipped in 11 and Connor Boehm
tacked on 10 for Dartmouth (5-13, 1-3 Ivy League) which earned its first
win in league play.
Austin Morgan netted 20 points and Matt Townsend contributed 16 for Yale
(7-14, 1-3) which has lost three of its last four.
Dartmouth led 27-20 at halftime by shooting 50 percent from the field while
holding Yale to just six field goals and 23.1 percent shooting.
After halftime the Bulldogs improved to 48 percent shooting but it was not
enough to overcome the Big Green which shot 52.2 percent and knocked down
19-of-20 shots from the free-throw line.
Dartmouth outscored Yale 36-20 in the paint and shot 51.1 percent for the
game.
