Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Anthony Drmic netted 23 points as the Boise State
Broncos handled the Air Force Falcons, 77-65, in a Mountain West Conference
clash at Taco Bell Arena.
Jeff Elorriaga added 17 points, while Derrick Marks went for 11 points and
nine assists for Boise State (17-8, 5-6 MWC), which has won two of its last
three. Ryan Watkins had 10 rebounds and Thomas Bropleh chipped in 10 points
off the bench.
Todd Fletcher had 14 points to lead Air Force (15-10, 6-6), while Taylor
Broekhuis and Michael Lyons scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The home team scored the first 11 points of the contest behind three 3-
pointers from Elorriaga, but Air Force clawed its way back and trailed just
35-34 at halftime after shooting 57.1 percent from the field in the opening 20
minutes.
Boise State pulled away in the second half after shooting 56 percent from the
floor and 45.5 percent from 3-point range, while Air Force struggled, shooting
at just a 36.7 percent clip.
The Broncos controlled things down low and outscored Air Force 34-22 in the
paint.
