Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Damyean Dotson and E.J. Singler scored 14
points each as the third-seeded Oregon Ducks coasted to a 64-45 victory over
the 10th-seeded Utah Utes in the semifinals of the Pac-12 Tournament at MGM
Grand Garden Arena.
Caroly Emory and Johnathan Loyd added 10 points each for Oregon (25-8), which
will take on the UCLA Bruins in the title game on Saturday.
Brandon Taylor led Utah (15-18) with 13 points and Jason Washburn contributed
12 points with nine rebounds. Jarred DuBois, who scored 21.5 points per game
in the first two games of the tourney, was held scoreless and committed six
turnovers.
The Utes had trouble on the offensive end in the opening 20 minutes as they
went 6-of-19 from the field. Oregon shot 46.4 percent from the floor in the
first half en route to a 29-15 halftime lead.
Utah tried to rally back and managed to cut the deficit to just eight points
at 47-39 with 9:42 remaining, but the Ducks absorbed the comeback effort and
ran off to a comfortable win by knocking down 15-of-19 at the free-throw line.
The Utes finished the game with only 28.8 percent efficiency from the field.
