Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Senior kicker Dan Conroy made a 47-yard field
goal with just over a minute remaining to lift the Michigan State Spartans
over the TCU Horned Frogs, 17-16, in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
Connor Cook completed 4-of-11 passes for 47 yards and a touchdown for the
Spartans (7-6), who improved to 9-14 in bowl games. Andrew Maxwell connected
on 6-of-15 passes for 28 yards.
Le'Veon Bell carried the ball 32 times for 145 yards and a score for the
victors.
Trevone Boykin completed 13-of-29 passes for 201 yards and an interception for
the Horned Frogs (7-6), who were trying for their third straight win in a bowl
game.
Josh Boyce hauled in five passes for 91 yards to break Kelly Blackwell's TCU
single-season record of 64 receptions. Boyce ended with 66 receptions this
season.
