G-Braves blow late lead, even Championship series 1-1

MOOSIC, Pa. -- The Gwinnett Braves gave up the lead in the ninth inning to fall 2-1 to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders to even the Governors' Cup Championship Series 1-1.

The G-Braves gave up just one hit in the game. 

Pitcher Bradley Roney started the ninth inning by walking Donovan Solano and Chris Parmelee. He then hit Kyle Higashioka with a pitch to load the bases. Maikel Cleto took the mound and walked Jake Cave to tie the game. He then walked Pete Kozma, who was the winning run.

Sean Kazmar Jr. hit a double in the fourth inning to score Ronnier Mustelier. He was the G-Braves' only run in the game.

Gwinnett's starter Chris Ellis pitched 6.0 innings without a hit. He had four walks and five strikeouts in 104 pitches.

The best of five series moves to Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga. Thursday. Tyrell Jenkins (0-0, 3.60 ERA) is scheduled to start for the G-Braves. Brady Lail (0-0, 2.25 ERA) will start for the RailRiders.
