Gwinnett Braves return to Coolray Field with championship series at 1-1

G-Braves championship series game 3 preview

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- As the Governors' Cup championship series moves to Coolray Field Thursday, the Gwinnett Braves are looking to bounce back from Wednesday's loss.

The G-Braves dropped game two Wednesday night in Moosic, Pa. by walking in the winning run. They held a 1-0 lead going into the ninth inning. Gwinnett won the first game of the series Tuesday.

Tyrell Jenkins (0-0, 3.60 ERA) will start Thursday for the G-Braves. Brady Lail (0-0, 2.25 ERA) will start for the RailRiders.

"We're certainly happy to be here for the fans and Gwinnett and the Atlanta Braves, it's something they haven't been through," manager John Moses said. "Hopefully we can go out tonight and win and take this thing in the next couple games."

The G-Braves finished the regular season 65-78.

If the G-Braves win the best of five series, they move on to the Triple-A National Championship beginning Tuesday.
