Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers purchased the contract of
pitcher Justin Grimm from Double-A Frisco on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Grimm is slated to make his Major League debut Saturday night
against the Houston Astros. Grimm went 8-3 with a 1.87 earned run average with
Frisco this season.
The Ranger optioned pitcher Yoshinori Tateyama to Triple-A Round Rock to make
room for Grimm.
Tateyama appeared in seven games with Texas this season and doned a 1-0 record
after giving up 11 earned runs over 8 1/3 innings.
Texas also transferred pitcher Neftali Feliz from the 15-day disabled list to
the 60-day DL.
