Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Washington Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg was
removed from Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves prior to the fourth
inning due to heat exhaustion.
Television broadcast cameras caught the right-hander standing in the dugout
next to team medical personnel before heading down the tunnel and into the
clubhouse.
He allowed three runs on two hits and struggled with his command, issuing four
walks, and striking out four batters.
The on-field temperature at first pitch was 104 degrees and had gone up to
around 120 degrees by the fourth inning.
Chien-Ming Wang took over on the mound.
