Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera
left Thursday's contest with the Toronto Blue Jays in the top of the second
inning with right ankle soreness.
Cabrera lined out to right field for the final out of the first inning and
appeared hobbled as he jogged toward first base.
The Detroit slugger manned his position at third to start the second, but
after Omar Vizquel popped out to first for the second out of the frame,
Cabrera called for the trainer and walked gingerly toward the dugout.
Ramon Santiago took over at third for Cabrera, who is batting .326 with 31
home runs and 105 RBI.
