Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley, who did not
play in the last two games of an Eastern Conference semifinal against the
Philadelphia 76ers, will miss the remainder of the playoffs following shoulder
surgery.
Celtics head coach Doc Rivers made the announcement Friday afternoon, saying
the procedure will take place later in the day.
Bradley, who averaged 6.7 points while starting all of Boston's 10
previous playoff games up until this past Monday, has been dealing with his
left shoulder popping out of place.
Game 7 of this series is slated for Boston on Saturday. Should the Celtics
advance, they will face the Miami Heat in the Eastern finals. Miami finished
off Indiana in a Game 6 on Thursday night.
