ATLANTA -- Want to see the Hawks play the Orlando Magic live Monday night, but you don't have a lot of money? Believe it or not, there were tickets available Thursday afternoon for as little as $1.
On StubHub, that's the listed price, and once you tack-on the service charge and delivery fee, you're till only out-of-pocket $11. That price is for nose-bleed seats, but the prices are still low as you get closer to the floor.
Section 112 is off the corner of the basket to the right of the visiting bench. Seats in that section ordinarily run $75 a ticket. StubHub has seats 10 rows off the floor in that section for - get this -- $15 a ticket.
Will Flaherty with ticket discounter SeatGeek.com told Yahoo! Sports that some NBA ticket prices have fallen off dramatically this season.
"This was something we saw broadly across a few teams in the league last year, but not this early into the season," he said.
Some popular teams still have tickets going for a premium, but for teams like the Hawks, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Magic, the Washington Wizards, or even the Denver Nuggets, ticket prices are running very low, giving fans an opportunity to take in an NBA game for less than the price of a night out at the movies.
