Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals placed linebacker O'Brien
Schofield on injured reserve Wednesday.
Schofield suffered torn ligaments in his left ankle during Sunday's 31-17 loss
to the Green Bay Packers.
It is the second time in the third-year pro's career he has been placed on IR,
as he was sidelined the final six games of his rookie season in 2010 with a
torn ACL.
He had 34 tackles and four sacks through nine games this season.
Arizona re-signed defensive end Ronald Talley to fill the roster spot.
Talley had two tackles in six games for Arizona last season.
Also on Wednesday, Arizona re-signed cornerback Greg McCoy to the practice
squad and reached an injury settlement with tackle Jeremy Bridges.
