Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden
put in a third consecutive limited practice Friday as he makes his way back
from a high ankle sprain, though he's still listed questionable to return for
Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
McFadden has missed Oakland's last three contests after injuring his ankle
during the first half of a Nov. 4 loss against Tampa Bay, but appears to be
making progress. The former first-round pick had not practiced at all in any
of the previous three weeks.
Fellow running back Mike Goodson, who's also been held out the last three
weeks due to an ankle sprain of his own, is questionable as well for Sunday's
matchup after practicing in a limited capacity on Friday.
"Both of them will be game-time decisions," said Raiders head coach Dennis
Allen. "Are they 100 percent? No, but we'll know more Sunday."
Quarterback Carson Palmer is fully expected to start Sunday's tilt despite a
minor injury to his right thumb that limited the veteran earlier in the week.
"Not an issue," said Allen of Palmer's thumb. "Came into today, felt fine,
looked fin, took all the reps today. He's good to go."
One Oakland player that is certain not to suit up against the Browns is
defensive tackle Richard Seymour, ruled out for a fourth consecutive week with
knee and hamstring injuries.
In addition, the Raiders suspended middle linebacker Rolando McClain for two
games on Friday because of conduct detrimental to the team. The third-year pro
was reportedly kicked out of practice following a run-in with Allen on
Wednesday.
