Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets added to their
goaltending depth on Friday, acquiring Philadelphia Flyers backup Sergei
Bobrovsky for a trio of draft picks.
The 23-year-old Bobrovsky won 28 games with a 2.59 goals-against average and
.915 save percentage as a rookie with the Flyers in 2010-11, but his role was
reduced after the club signed Ilya Bryzgalov last summer.
A native of Russia, Bobrovsky posted a 14-10-2 record this past season. His
GAA rose to 3.02 while his save percentage dropped to .899.
The Flyers received the 45th and 117th picks in the 2012 NHL Draft as well as
a 2013 fourth-round draft pick.
