Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Second-seeded American Sam Querrey cruised
to a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lithuanian qualifier Ricardas Berankis to reclaim the
Farmers Classic on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Querrey also won this event in 2009 and 2010, but missed last
year's tournament due to right elbow surgery.
He fired eight aces and won 5-of-7 break points in the match, which lasted
just 51 minutes.
The 22-year-old Berankis, ranked No. 141 in the world, defeated sixth-seeded
Marinko Matosevic of Australia 7-5, 6-1 in the semifinals to reach the final.
With the victory, Querrey took home $100,650.
The Sports Network
