ATLANTA -- The Oxygen Network has chosen to cancel the controversial show "All My Babies' Mamas," which was scheduled to air in early 2013.

The Oxygen Network released a statement on Tuesday, saying:

"As part of our development process, we have reviewed casting and decided not to move forward with the special. We will continue to develop compelling content that resonates with our young female viewers and drives the cultural conversation."

The show's cancellation comes after online activist, Sabrina Lamb, lead a campaign against the show.

On Monday, Lamb presented more than 37,000 signed petitions against the show inNew York City, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia to the offices of Oxygen, owner NBC Universal, and broadcaster Comcast.

"We will not support any network and advertiser which exploits the plight of children and targets young women with stereotypical, dangerous, unsafe messages," Lamb said. "This petition, this victory is for them. Adults have choices and today, children, through 37,000 petitioners, have voices."
