Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Omar Infante hit two of his club's three home runs, while Anibal Sanchez outdueled Cole Hamels, and the Miami Marlins put a damper on the Phillies' 2012 home opener with a 6-2 decision in the opener of a three-game set.
Sanchez (1-0) lasted 6 1/3 frames, allowing six hits and a pair of runs. Hamels (0-1), on the other hand, worked 5 1/3 innings, charged with eight hits and four runs -- three earned -- despite fanning nine.
Gaby Sanchez added two hits and two RBI. Austin Kearns also went deep for the Marlins, who had dropped three of four to start the year.
Freddy Galvis knocked in both runs for Philadelphia, the five-time defending NL East champs who lost two of three in Pittsburgh this past weekend.
