Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully missed the Los Angeles Dodgers' home opener on Tuesday because of a cold.

The Dodgers said Scully, who is broadcasting his 63rd season for the team, was resting at home.

The Dodgers were opening their home schedule with a three-game series against Pittsburgh after winning three of four games in San Diego to start the season.
