DORAVILLE, Ga.-- A suicide call to Doraville 9-1-1 ultimately uncovered agrow operation that netted over 400 marijuana plants.

Doraville Police spokesman, Officer Gene Callaway, said officers went to a residence in the 3400 block of Pin Oak Circle Sunday to investigate a possible suicide attempt by the caller's girlfriend.

Officers were unable to make contact with the girlfriend. After 20 minutes on the scene, a man opened the door, but refused entry by police into the home.

Callaway said officers smelled the odor of marijuana smoke coming from inside the residence and obtained a warrant to enter the house.

Investigators discovered the home was being used to grow marijuana plants. Callaway saidevery room in the home was filled with plants in various stages of growth.

Police arrested the resident, but have have not released his name.
