Dunwoody, GA -- Dozens of families fromDunwoody United Methodist Church joined forces on Monday night to make summer lunches for childrenin need.
It's part of a program called "Mission Mondays," which runs for five weeks. It gives church members, families and friends a chance to give back to the community.
The volunteers put together a total of 600 lunches for children who rely on free or reduced lunch programs during the school year.

All three nonprofits have similar summer lunch programs.
Donations are still needed for the programs. Action Ministries and MUST Ministries have requested donations of bread, snack bars, fruit cups, small bags of chips, juice boxes or bags and sweet snack packs, including cookies and fruit chewies.
