ATLANTA -- A pedestrian was struck by a car and seriously injured in south Atlanta Monday morning.
The accident happened at around 3:20 a.m. on Old National Highway just south of Dodd Road, according to Fulton County Police spokeswoman Melissa Parker.
Parker said the victim, for reasons unknown, darted across the road and into the path of a Lexus.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. His name was not released, but Parker confirmed that he is a 20-year-old black man.
The female driver of the Lexus was not injured, Parker said.
Fulton County Police are still investigating the crash.
